Drop in
Chess and checkers
Casual games with boards ready on the table. Ask for a rules refresher or settle into a longer match.
Mindfulness hour
A calm hour for guided attention, quiet reflection and a cup of tea afterwards.
Painting workshop
A practical, friendly session built around one painting prompt. Tell us you are coming so we can prepare the tables.
Conversation meet-up
Prompted small-group conversations that make it easier to meet someone new without a formal agenda.
Board game night
Choose a familiar game or learn something new. We help form tables so solo visitors can join in comfortably.
Language exchange
Short paired and group conversations with simple prompts. The focus is confidence, listening and meeting people.
Creative writing
A short prompt, quiet writing time and an optional round of sharing. Bring a notebook or use paper at the venue.
Photography workshop
A practical session on composition, light and reviewing your own images. A phone camera is enough.
Trivia and quiz
Low-pressure rounds of general knowledge and conversation questions. Come alone and we will help you find a team.
Craft and DIY
A shared-table making session with a clear project and time to work at your own pace.
Beginner dance
Simple guided steps in a welcoming group. Wear comfortable clothing and let us know you are coming.
Live music evening
An intimate evening of acoustic music with space to listen, talk quietly and meet other visitors.
Book club
A guided discussion of the current selection. Ask us for the title before your first visit.
Social poker
In-person, no-stakes social poker for conversation and friendly play. There are no entry stakes, cash wagers or cash or material-value prizes.

For a normal visit or a drop-in activity, no advance registration is needed.

Programme questions
Which programmes need advance registration?
Painting, creative writing, photography, craft and DIY, beginner dance, book club and social poker need advance registration. Regular drop-in sessions are marked clearly.
Are the programmes included in the visit price?
Yes. Scheduled programmes are included in the normal time-based access price. The only charge is for the time you spend at the venue.
What does “on request” mean?
These activities are not on the fixed weekly timetable. Send an enquiry with the activity and preferred date, and we will reply about whether a session can be arranged.
