Fixed weekly times

Monday: 6:00–9:30 pm
Thursday: 6:30–10:00 pm
Friday: 7:00–10:30 pm
Sunday: 3:00–7:00 pm

Sessions run for about 3½–4 hours. You pay only the normal time-based venue access price.

Before you join

A social programme with simple house rules.

Be considerate, keep the pace friendly and follow the session guidance. The purpose is to share a table, practise the game and have a conversation.

It is not presented as a legal or statutory age statement.

The Department of Internal Affairs notes that poker with no money or other consideration paid or staked to enter may fall outside the Gambling Act definition of gambling. See the official poker guidance for context.

Social poker questions

Is this gambling for money?

No. There is no buy-in, poker fee, entry stake or cash wager, and there are no cash or material-value prizes. Any chips used in play have no cash value.

Why is there an 18+ rule?

It is Danube Linden’s venue house rule for the social poker programme. We describe it as a house rule, not as a statement of a statutory age threshold.

Do I need to register in advance?

Yes. Social poker is one of the programmes that requires advance registration. Send an enquiry and wait for our reply before attending.

Can beginners join?

Yes. New players are welcome. The programme is designed for friendly in-person play and conversation, not high-pressure competition.
